Hes actually really important to the movie. As the title suggests, the film communicates more than language has the capacity to, so if you want to really understand it, its best if you just watch the film. Beyond the Lights 2. Director Gina Prince BythewoodStars Gugu Mbatha Raw, Nate Parker, Minnie Driver, Machine Gun Kelly, Danny Glover You like Love Basketball, right If you answered no, get out. Just get out. Director and writer Gina Prince Bythewood finally returned to give us Beyond the Lights, an underrated movie about an young, just turned superstar singer Mbatha Raw whos completely disillusioned by fame until she meets a cop Parker and finds love. I know, it sounds like a bit of a sleepy romance movie, but the commentary on fame and the music industry Prince Bythewoods able to work into the story and Gugu Mbatha Raws performance life it way beyond that. And you get to see Machine Gun Kelly act, so theres that. In Bruges 2. 00. Director Martin Mc. Donagh. Stars Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Ralph Fiennes. In Bruges first hit the festival circuit in 2. Martin Mc. Donagh had created a comedy destined to be a cult classic. In the film, Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleason star as two Irish hitmen forced into hiding in the city of Bruges after Farrells character accidentally kills a young boy during a hit gone wrong. From there, the two hired guns ruminate on the nature of life and guilt as they plunge into the eccentric underbelly of the quirky city. This thoughtful morality tale offers darkly comedic flourishes, including a drug addicted dwarf who gets into a brawl with Farrell and a rabid performance by Ralph Fiennes, who plays the boss of our two heroes. The service currently has about 1 million subscribers and the companys goal is to grow it to 4 million by 2. Is it a CW show which obviously has had a lot of success with genre programming And here was All Access in its formation that was like all new services somewhat dependent on what are people going to plunk money down for. So where do you find a rabid fanbase that is going to be drawn to somethingAnd Trek obviously has a huge rabid fan base. Obviously, youre going to have to deliver creatively, but the fans there. So it made a lot of sense to do it with All Access. Which makes total sense for CBS, but what about for you How would a CBS executive pitch a consumer who might be skeptical about whether to pay for All AccessMy answer would be Try it All Access is free to try and if you dont think its worth the value, we get it, CBS Interactive president Marc De. Bevoise. Its not going to be for everybody. We know some of our customers are going to be cord cutters, some are going to be people who want CBS another way and some just want the premium content were offering. Also, its not like were price gouging here. I think its a reasonable price for the value were delivering. Its not just what you get on CBS, it is 1. TV. We have to show people the value of the service, and I think we will. Theres another bit of upside for fans that CBS executives avoid discussing because they dont like to talk about how much a show costs. But once fans watch Discovery, theyll notice the shows production values arent like a typical broadcast show, but more reminiscent of a premium cable or streaming show. CBS was able to justify spending a bit more money on Discovery since its going onto the paid tier. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for.
